On August 25, 2020, Mad Machine Films will be releasing CBD Nation, a documentary that explores the world of cannabidiol (CBD). Produced and directed by David Jakubovic, CBD Nation features scientists and activists heavily involved in the cannabis movement that is currently sweeping the world.
During the production of CBD Nation, Jakubovic stated in a press release that he “…came to realize that cannabis is far from a gateway drug; for many, it’s actually an exit drug from Pharmaceuticals and Narcotics. And in the US–which has 5% of the world’s population consuming 75% of the world’s pharmaceuticals–we can no longer afford to be in the dark about the facts. Facts can save lives.”
Jakubovic goes heavy on science in CBD Nation. And his sources are impressive to say the least. One of them is world-renowned Israeli scientist Raphael Mechoulam, PhD. Dr. Mechoulam is known by many as the “Father of Cannabis Research” and is the man who first discovered tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) back in the 1960s.
In addition to the many experts highlighted, CBD Nation also comes strong with a wealth of real-life cases of individuals who have seen their lives improve from the health benefits of CBD.
One of these cases is that of Jayden David, a six-year-old boy who was saddled with a list of debilitating symptoms caused by Dravet Syndrome, which is a particularly severe form of childhood epilepsy. When David took CBD for the first time, he experienced his first seizure-free day ever.
David’s case and many others along with featured experts makes CBD Nation a well-rounded, must-see documentary for anyone interested in exploring the history, science, and health benefits of CBD.
CBD Nation will be available on Amazon, iTunes, and Video on Demand on August 25, 2020.
