The Bottom Line
Seeking serenity now? Relax and embrace the good life with Serenity’s handcrafted blends of CBD and organics.
Who they are: Serenity’s team brings together eclectic backgrounds in yoga, culinary and visual arts, and cannabis with the mission to “heal and help people.” The California-based company started in 2015 within the cannabis extraction industry. That said, Serenity now focuses on handcrafted, sustainable infusions of CBD and organic ingredients.
The company walks the talk with supercritical CO2 extraction and American-made, low-plastic packaging materials (glass tincture bottles, for example). They also donate to charities that include The Humane Society and Ocean Conservancy. Cannabinoid potency testing is conveniently linked on product pages, but pesticides, mycotoxins, heavy metals, and other tests are unavailable or partially available.
Why they’re unique: A commitment to USDA certified organic ingredients, local sourcing, and non-plastic packaging materials put Serenity ahead of the CBD pack for sustainability.
What products they have: Tinctures and topicals! The full spectrum tinctures come in several sizes: Minimalist is the smallest at 300 mg, and Maximum packs a heavy-hitting 1,500 mg. The oil carrier is a blend of organic coconut, extra virgin olive, and raw hemp seed oils, “rich in omega 3, 6, & 9 fatty acids.” Classic is the ‘not too hot, not too cold’ option with 900 mg. Breathe is identical to Classic but with peppermint essential oil for a refreshing twist.
While these all contain less than 0.3% THC, Serenity also offers a broad spectrum tincture, Reduced THC, with 900 mg CBD and non-detectable amounts of THC. And let’s not forget little Fido: Pet Lover is offered in 300 mg, and more or less identical to Minimalist.
The organic oil blends are nice, but Serenity’s most interesting ingredient infusions come in their topicals. The Long Lasting Topical Balm features organic Fair Trade shea butter, organic jojoba, and organic arnica, juniper, and frankincense essential oils, for example. The packaging is quite pleasing as well. The Fast Acting Topical Roller houses a similar roster of soothing goodies.
Kay said this about the Topical Balm: “I use this on EVERYTHING. Pain, skin irritation, bruises, tension, headaches, moisturizer… This stuff is pure magic.”
