Enhance Bath Time With CBD Bath Bombs

Written by Lisa Rennie

Bath bombs are nothing new, but bath bombs infused with CBD are a relatively new way to tap into the benefits of cannabidiol. Both bath bombs and CBD are known for their relaxing effects, and combining them just seems like a match made in heaven.

An increasing number of wellness and cosmetics brands are introducing CBD bath bombs to their lines. Not only do these products promise to create a serene experience, but they also foster a more relaxed mind and body, a more stabilized mood, and a pleasantly fragrant environment, particularly with bath bombs that incorporate essential oils like chamomile, lavender, or even frankincense.

Why use CBD bath bombs in your bath water?

Not only can CBD bath bombs help you unwind after a long day and alleviate the stresses of everyday life, but they can also help to reduce pain points in achy muscles and joints. As the bath bomb dissolves, the skin will start to quickly absorb the CBD within, delivering its effects to various areas of the body that need soothing the most.

CBD — or cannabidiol — is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid in cannabis and possesses several healing properties. [1] It’s been linked to the alleviation of anxiety, stress, pain, inflammation, and seizures, and has just recently been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to be used in Epidiolex, a medication with CBD to treat seizures. [2]

CBD indirectly interacts with the receptors of the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which is tasked with maintaining homeostasis in the body. When the body’s internal environment is out of balance, a host of issues can arise, including pain, anxiety, and inflammation, to name a few.

CBD’s ability to influence many endocannabinoid receptors and molecular signaling systems can, in turn, help bring the body back to homeostasis and simultaneously help to alleviate the symptoms.

Add CBD bath bombs to your arsenal of at-home spa products

When shopping for CBD bath bombs, be sure to look for products that are made with premium-grade CBD, all-natural coloring that won’t stain, and no preservatives or artificial dyes.

Many CBD bath bombs also contain full-spectrum cannabinoids to encourage an “entourage effect,” which occurs when CBD and all the terpenes of the cannabis plant interact synergistically to maximize the therapeutic effects of the cannabinoid.

All you need to do is fill your tub with warm water, drop in a CBD-infused bath bomb, and relax! Adding a little CBD to your bath time routine will take your experience to a whole new level.
